An Introduction to Cyberjaya – An Eco-Friendly Tech Town
Just like how each story has a beginning, the story of Cyberjaya begins in the mid-90s as an undeveloped piece of land 40km south of Kuala Lumpur.

Previously an estate called Prang Besar, Cyberjaya used to be under Hulu Langat (now Kajang’s) administration. The idea of an IT-themed city came out of management consultancy McKinsey’s study for the Multimedia Super Corridor otherwise known as MSC for the 1995 Federal Government.
Cyberjaya sits adjacent to Putrajaya, the administrative capital of the Malaysian government. Today, it is home to more than 800 companies, of which 40 are global and regional multinationals.
