SPEEDHOME’s Internal Hackathon: Driving Innovation and Excellence

At SPEEDHOME, innovation is more than just a goal – it’s our driving force. Our commitment to improving the rental experience for both landlords and tenants led us to organize our first internal hackathon on August 9th, 2024. This event brought together our talented team members to brainstorm and build cutting-edge solutions, and the results were nothing short of fruitful.

A Day of Creativity and Collaboration

The hackathon was a day brimming with energy, creativity, and collaboration. Teams worked tirelessly to tackle key challenges within the rental space, focusing on improving user experience and making renting a breeze. The event kicked off at 9 AM MYT, with participants diving headfirst into problem-solving, coding, and testing their innovative ideas. It was a whirlwind of activity, with minds buzzing and fingers flying across keyboards as teams raced against the clock to bring their visions to life.

Throughout the day, our teams explored a variety of ways to make the rental process a whole lot easier. From creating user-friendly interfaces to streamlining operations, every idea was aimed at providing value to our users. The solutions presented were a testament to the creativity and technical skills of our team members. It was inspiring to see how they tackled the challenges head-on, coming up with innovative ideas that had the potential to make a real difference in the rental experience.

The projects were assessed based on key criteria: Innovation, Feasibility, Impact, Alignment with SPEEDHOME’s mission, and Presentation. After careful deliberation, Team Bytebricks (Binaya Rijal, Bishap Bhusal, Renjith Raj, Saurav Rijal, Krishna Pokharel, Tan Yi Wen, Rika Mohd Yusuf.)  stood out for their comprehensive and practical approach to enhancing the rental experience. Their solution not only embodied innovation but also aligned perfectly with our goals at SPEEDHOME.
