How SPEEDHOME’s New Update Solves House Condition Submission
Renting a home should be easy and stress-free. At SPEEDHOME, we’re always working to improve your experience. House Condition is a feature introduced by SPEEDHOME a few months ago to help tenants and landlords stay on top of property conditions throughout the tenancy. Since its launch, we’ve received valuable feedback from our users—and we listened. Our team has made significant improvements to enhance the flow, usability, and clarity of the submission process.
What Is House Condition and Why It Matters?
House Condition is when tenants upload videos or photos showing the condition of the property during handover. This usually happens when tenants first move in, during their stay, or before they move out.
This step is important because it helps protect both landlords and tenants. It gives proof of the property’s condition, so if anything goes wrong later, there’s clear evidence. No more guesswork, just clear, documented proof that helps avoid arguments.
The Old Way: What Used to Happen
Before this update, the House Condition process was not as smooth as we wanted it to be. Some users had trouble uploading videos, and the steps were not always clear. Tenants didn’t always know what to record, and landlords had to wait longer for everything to be submitted.
We listened to your feedback and knew it was time to improve.
The New Update: What’s Changed
Now, the House Condition Submission process has a brand new look—and it works much better.
We made it more user-friendly. The steps are now guided, which means users know exactly what to do at each part of the process. The design is cleaner, and everything loads faster. Plus, it’s much easier to upload videos of the house condition.
Key Improvements in the New House Condition Submission Flow
Here’s what’s better with the new update:
- Larger Upload Support – Submit videos up to 100MB for clearer, high-quality proof
- Video-First Design: We focus on video uploads because videos show more details than photos.
- Faster Performance: Everything loads quicker, and there are fewer bugs.
- Cleaner Interface: The design looks better and is easier to use.
How This Update Helps You
This new House Condition Submission flow helps everyone:
Tenants can upload the house condition quickly without stress. They know what to record, and the upload process is smooth.
Landlords get clear videos of the property’s condition. This helps avoid misunderstandings and makes move-ins and move-outs easier.
Two Types of Submissions
There are 2 main types of submissions:
1. Planned Submission
Regular checks during the tenancy. Mainly to verify property condition and share video updates.
Planned Submission Schedule

Month 3, 6, 9, and Move-Out Submissions
- Tenants only need to record and upload a video of the property
- Recording happens inside the app
- After video recording, they can review, retake or submit
- Files larger than 100MB are supported
2. Ad Hoc Submission
Also known as “Report Issue”. Tenants can report problems anytime during a tenancy.
- Tap Report Issue in the app
- Take photos/videos of the problem
- Fill in the item name and issue description
- Submit
You can add, edit, or delete the issues before submitting. All issues are visible in the House Condition lobby.
How to Submit Your House Condition – 4 Simple Steps

Step 1: Review the Inventory List
- You’ll see a list of all the inventory items included in your rental agreement — with photos, names, and quantities.
Tap on each item to:
- Upload a photo or video showing its condition
- Select any issues like Broken, Missing, Not Working, Dirty, or Cosmetic Damage
- Add a short note describing the problem
If something’s not right, it’ll be marked as “Not OK.” You can also edit or remove anything before submitting. Need help? A quick guide is built-in to show you how to check items properly.
Step 2: Inspect the Property Condition
- Next, you’ll go through a checklist covering areas like:
- Water system
- Electrical system
- Doors & Locks
- Pest Control
- Walls & Paints
For each, you can upload photos/videos and report any problems. If everything’s fine, just leave it as “OK.” Once you’ve finished checking, tick the confirmation box to move on.
Step 3: Share Feedback on the Unit
We’ll ask a few quick questions to understand your experience:
- Rate the electrical appliances (1–5)
- Rate the water fixtures (1–5)
- Tell us your telco (Maxis, CelcomDigi, etc.)
- Rate your signal strength (1–5)
- Add any extra comments if you like
Step 4: Share Feedback on the Building
Lastly, give your opinion on the overall building environment:
- How clean is it? (1–5)
- What’s the general condition? (1–5)
- How noisy is it? (1–5)
- Any other comments?
After Submission
- Tenants are taken back to the House Condition lobby
- They can update the submission within 7 days from the start date
Conclusion:
The new House Condition Submission update is just one way we’re making renting better for everyone. It’s faster, clearer, and more reliable—so you can focus on what matters most.
Try it today and enjoy a smoother rental experience with SPEEDHOME!
